Dear old friends. Not that your age is old, but that our relationship extends back many years. In some cases, 53 years ago. I'm afraid I am missing the reunion due to a previous commitment. The interesting note is that what I am doing, the nights of the reunion, is the same thing that many of us did our Sophomore year 42 years ago: I'm in a production of "Annie Get Your Gun," at the Peery's Egyptian Theatre in Ogden. The music from this show has taken me back to the wonderful times we had together singing, and dancing, and playing. Too many memories to begin to express here.

I have never forgotten the sense of loss I felt when we all separated that evening of graduation back in the spring of 1978. I decided long ago not to dwell on the past. I have tried to remember the past fondly without too many regrets. However, I do have one major regret from high school: I did not reach out to enough of you to develop meaningful relationships. As a result of that regret, I have been trying harder in new relationships to do now, what I did not do then.

If you and I can call each other friends, then I want you to know I love you; I wish you well; and I would love to be able to associate with you again.

Sincerely,

Ken Hadlock
