Stephen Joseph Anderson, 33, died at his home surrounded by those who loved him after a courageous battle with brain tumors.

He was born May 15, 1960 in Salt Lake City, a son of Lowell Gary and Miriam Frost Anderson. He graduated from Highland High School. Attended the U. of U. and LDS Business College. After serving a mission to Nashville, Tennessee, he married Sarah Louise Allen, August 14, 1987 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Stephen was a valiant servant of the Lord, never complaining of his lot in life or of the progressive paralysis that each tumor seemed to bring with it. He was loyal to family and friends, totally devoted to his loving wife and son. He ran several marathons before his eventual paralysis confined him to a wheelchair. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. Stephen always put his family and friends before himself.

He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Sarah; son Stephen Craig; parents, Lowell and Miriam Anderson; brothers and sister, Mike (Melanie) Anderson; Cherie (Paul) Broadwater; Rob (Betsy) Anderson and Matthew Anderson; parents-in-law, Melvin J. and Helen Abbott, Duchesne, Utah; and Robert and Pamela Allen, Stockton, California; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon, January 12, 1994 in the Lee Ward, 3805 South Main Street. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a trust fund established for Steve's son, Craig, at First Interstate Bank, 70 East 3300 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84115.

Reed "Grizz" Baier

On the evening of October 9, 2015 while listening to his favorite tunes by, Dave Matthews Band, and surrounded by his family, Reed passed away after valiantly fighting a four year battle with cancer.

His spirit is carried on by his three sons, Jordan, Bryce, and Talon; a baby granddaughter, Aeisha; two sisters, Darcy Conant (Phil), Liza Pehrson (Scott), one brother, Michael McGivney; and his beloved wife of thirty-four years, Claren McGivney-Baier.

Reed was born December 7, 1959 in Great Falls, Montana and is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Colleen Baier.  Reed was tall for his age and he and his older sister, Darcy, were often mistaken for twins as the were only fifteen months apart.  After his family moved to Utah, Reed's parents were called into the principle's office of Reed's Elementary school where they were told that Reed's 5th grade IQ test score was the highest of the whole student body.

When Reed reached driving age, he developed a deep passion for cars.  Self-taught, he pursued that passion with everything he had.  He often said that his love for British cars especially, came after meeting his long time, good friend, Ken Kirkman.  Reed bought a 1968 Triumph TR250 when he was twenty years old and the rest is history.  He was meticulous and driven, and restored his TR with blood, sweat and tears, loving every minute.

In 1981, he met and fell in love with his wife, Claren. They lived happily ever after, raising three beautiful sons, the pride and joy of his life.

His family, affectionally nick-named him, "Project Man" because there was nothing Reed could not do, fix, make or create.  His frequently repeated quote was "Never enough time to do it right, always enough time to do it over." 

Reed loved his profession because it allowed him to use his unique gift for design.  Reed opened his own business in 1997 and quickly became a highly respected name in his industry..  In 2011, he began working with Henricksen Butler Design Group as Vice President of HB BUILD.

Reed loved photography, watching his favorite hockey and football games, vacationing with his family and friends at Lake Powell, and riding his Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle, which he won in 2011 at a Utah Grizzlie's Hockey Game.

Reed will be honored with an Irish Wake on Friday, October 16, 2015 at his family's home 13052 South Blaze Court, Riverton, Utah. 6:00pm.

Heidi B Hilton

Heidi Pauline Brown Hilton, a very special spirit passed away April 6, 1987 at a local hospital after a long valiant fight against cancer. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt wand was blessed with the ability to bring joy to those whose lives she touched.

Born October 26, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Matthew R Hilton September 3 1981 in the Salt Lake temple. Heidi had strong faith in our Savior and exemplified His teachings by the way she lived.

Survivors: husband, a son, Matthew Parker, mother and stepfather, Joan and Austin Larsen, father and stepmother, Warren and Melva Brown, sister, Nancy Kidder, brothers W. Drew Brown and W Cory Brown and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her light in their lives.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the many skilled physicians and devoted nurses who watched over Heidi during the course of her illness.

Funeral services will be held April 9, 1987 at 11 a.m. at the University First Stake Center, 1928 Hempstead Road. Cleveland, OH

Eliot Case was an Emmy Award winning broadcast engineer who contributed to significant advancements in speech concatenation, microphone technologies, audio/video compression and directory assistance. He was granted over 30 patents in his career during his time at KUED, KMGH, USWEST, EchoStar and Technicolor. 

Eliot attended Highland High School in Salt Lake City, UT. At 16, he started to work with musician Nyle Steiner to build several hundred Steiner-Parker Synthacons used by Earth Wind & Fire, The Doors, Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa. Eliot was known to friends and family as warm and intelligent. He had a great sense of humor, and was always there to help and teach. 

Eliot died at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday, January 22, 2017 after an 8-month battle with Burkitt's Lymphoma. He was 56 years old.  Eliot is survived by his wife, Suzan; daughter, Amber Case; mother, Joanna Case; and brother and sister, Tom and Judy. His ashes will be spread around the world by his family.

1959 ~ 2017

Brent Olsen Christensen was born June 5, 1959 and passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 1, 2017. Brent was called home into the arms of his Heavenly Father and his loving parents Vincent Jenson Christensen and Reva Olsen Christensen.

He served faithfully in the Albuquerque New Mexico Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended the University of Utah and went on to continue the legacy of his Grandfather and Father in the insurance industry. He was devoted in his service to his clients and built many lifelong friendships. He married the love of his life Allison Frisbee Christensen on August 29, 1998. There wasn't enough time in the day, they couldn't get enough of each other. Brent was best with his sweetheart. Things he enjoyed most in life were summers in Laguna Beach, Harley rides, ATV's and Jet Skiing. He loved being silly with his two beautiful grandchildren, who in turn, adored their Papa. His witty sense of humor, contagious laugh and infectious smile is the icing on the cake of this kind, gentle, loving man. He is now in the hands of the Lord to continue his work.

Brent is survived by his wife Allison, his three daughters Ashley Lynn Christensen, Cari Elaine Ackerman (Sterling), Tara Christensen, and two grandchildren Cruz and Liv that lit up his heart. He is also survived by his two adoring sisters Vicki (Carl) McGavin and Jill (Scott) Bruderer, so many nieces and nephews that he was the favorite Uncle to.

A visitation will be held in his honor Thursday, December 7th from 6-8pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn at 2350 East 1300 South. There will also be a visitation Friday, December 8th from 10-11am followed by the funeral services from 11-12 at Monument Park Stake Center at 1320 South Wasatch Drive. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

Greta Ann Doutré Cook, 53, peacefully died March 1, 2014. Greta lived a very full life “Her Way.” She was fiercely independent, adventuresome, and passionate about enjoying the great outdoors and having fun. She loved being with friends, living on Lake Sutherland, good music, wakeboarding, hiking, biking, the sun, puzzles, and old movies. After the passing of her husband Paul, in 2001, Caylie, their beautiful and resilient daughter, became the focus of Greta’s life.

Born July 13, 1960, and raised in Salt Lake City, she graduated from Highland High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah. Greta was a hard worker and volunteered helping others her whole life. She was a camp counselor to many at Camp Rogers and Utah Diabetic Camps. She chose a life-long career with the National Forest Service working in Shenandoah, Olympic, and Yellowstone National Parks.  We all loved her sense of adventure and have fond memories of our time together.

Survived by her daughter, Caylie Pauline, mother, Greta Ashcroft Doutré, siblings: David (Marie) Doutré, Craig (Suzanne) Doutré, Scott Doutré, Lisa Doutré (Scott) McDermott and seven nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cook and father, David Lamar Doutré.

Tracy B. “Papa” Crump, our generous and outgoing husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend was returned to heaven on April 1, 2017. Tracy was born January 22, 1960 to Boyd Crump and Rachel Anderson in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He graduated from Highland High in 1978. He started his career with Energy West Controls in Salt Lake in 1985. Tracy married the love of his life Deborah L. McDonald May 30, 1991 in Maui, Hawaii. They were received into the Catholic Church in 2010 and later married into the Church in 2016.

Tracy loved spending his free time “tormenting”, playing, and watching his grandchildren grow and helping them learn. He also loved spending time with family hanging out on weekends, camping, fishing, ATV rides, and having a whiskey (or two!) around the fire while enjoying everyone's company. Tracy loved to be surrounded by the ones he loved. He was passionate about giving and helping those in need.

Survived by his wife, Deborah L. Crump; father, Boyd Crump; siblings, Lori (Rick) Brown, Joni (Larry) Eiseman, Debbie Noxon; sons, Michael (Melanie) Liddiard, Joshua (Amber) Liddiard, Ryan (Brittany) Crump, Christopher (Meredith) Liddiard, and Dallas (Chelsea) Crump; grandchildren, Landen, Ashton, Arianna, Judge, Rylen, Vanden, Mylah, Ravyn, and Sophia; nieces, Tanya (great nephew Griffin), Tara (Stephen), Hannah; multiple cousins, and many great friends he met along his journey in life.

Preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Anderson, and son, Erik Liddiard.

LARRY KLIN DARTON

1959-2014

Larry Klin Darton passed away January 1, 2014.  He was born in Delta, Utah on December 5, 1959 to Lawrence J. and Helen Law Darton-Warner.  He married Shauna Rae Anderson in Elko, Nevada on May 7, 1983.  He was a member of the LDS Church.

The love for his family was immeasurable and time spent with them was never enough.  He also loved the outdoors, especially camping, hiking and dirt bike riding.  He had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile.  He was always willing to help others.  He took pride in his work and was blessed with many talents.  At the time of his passing he worked as an engineer at Westgate Resorts but his love and specialty was hardwood floors.  He enjoyed life to its fullest.

He is survived by his wife, Shauna; daughter, Starla Linnea Darton; son, Troy Klin Darton;  grandchildren, Bostynn Rae Darton and Harlee Ainsley Pulver; father, Lawrence (Leona Kay) Darton;  mother, Helen (Howard) Warner; siblings, Steven (Paula) Darton, Shyvonne (Rolin) Stutes,  Kayleen (Sandy) Webb,  Kristine Daley and Doug (Blenda) Darton.

October 16, 1959 - December 29, 2013 (Miami, Florida)

Wesley J. Hansen passed from this life to return to his Creator on July 2nd, 2007 with his Mom, Dad, and brother Darin at his bedside, from complications of pneumonia, just five days prior to his 47th birthday. Wes was born in Payson, Utah on July 7, 1960, the second beloved son of George and Nancy Brown Hansen. He graduated from Highland High School in Salt Lake City and Brigham Young University where he excelled in music, drama, and cheerleading. His world travels began when he was called to serve as a missionary in the Spain Madrid Mission. He loved the people and the food of Spain his entire life. He loved traveling the world over, from Asia to Europe, from South America to Africa. Although he would travel standby around the world, he really preferred first class, seat 2B. His career was spent mostly working for American Airlines and Sabre, a perfect job for someone who loved to travel and was so very creative at events planning. Wes's job took him to London England for three years, where he performed his events magic! Wes loved to create spellbinding events (i.e. One time he hired a helicopter to drop orchids on the attendees on the Island of Maui. The more outrageous, all the better!) Wes loved music, and his baby grand piano brought him many hours of great joy. Wes loved to ski, and some say he looked like Stein Eriksen on skis! Wes enjoyed cooking gourmet meals, and his friends and family savored Wes's culinary creations, as well as his irresistible, mischievous sense of humor. 

He was preceded in death by his older brother Brad Hansen, his grandparents Jay and Blanche Brown and Mark and Carrie Hansen, and his beloved Boston Terrier "China". 

He is survived by his parents and his brothers Darin (Susie) Hansen of Alpine and Shawn (Michelle) Hansen of Palo Alto, CA, and 10 nieces and nephews who will always remember their Uncle Wes. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview First Ward Chapel, 2930 South 2000 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. According to Wes's wishes, no viewing will be held. Wes's family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Wes, we love you eternally! 

Robert Lee Harpster, age 31, died May 12, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born August 28, 1960 in Burley, Idaho to Harry L. and Beverly Maxwell Harpster. Married Leslie "Brie" Hunter, July 28, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Member of the LDS Church. Currently serving on active duty with Support Co., 1st Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne).

Survived by his wife, Brie; five daughters, Mandy, Bethany, Corie, Debbie, Emily; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harpster, Kalispell, Montana; grandmother, Reva Maxwell, Great Falls, Montana.

       April 10, 1959 – August 25, 2013

   Kema Holt lived a full life and was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She was caring and kind. Kema was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and recently served as Relief Society Assistant Secretary. She loved to crochet and was regularly seen with a bag of yarn and an afghan in progress. 

Kema was survived by her mother, H. Joyce Holt (Salt Lake City, UT) and her siblings and their spouses: Shelly (Ellen) McAllister (Las Vegas, NV), Terri (Robert) Parker (South Jordan, UT), Pamela (David) Busk (Central Valley, UT), Nancy (John) Gasper (Cheney, WA), Douglas (Cassandra) Holt (Travis AFB, CA). 

Kema was preceded in death by her fathers, Keith C. Holt and Richard W. McAllister, her older brother Michael K. Holt, her Aunt E. Delain Humphrey, her grandparents: James Dewaine and Anna Estella Andersen Sandberg. 

Grave side services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. 

Kent Edward Kramer, age 30, our loving husband, daddy, son and brother, was making a remarkable recovery from a liver transplant when he passed away unexpectedly May 27, l990 after suffering a brain hemorrhage at University Hospital.

Born March 13, l960 in Salt Lake City, the son of Edward F.and Marion Cowles Kramer. Married Jane Ellen Vanderlinden, August 24, 1981, in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Kent was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Alabama, Birmingham Mission. He also served the church in the Primary and Young Men's organizations. He graduated from Highland High School and Brigham Young University and worked as a credit analyst for Ford Motor Credit Co.

Survived by his wife; daughters Sarah Anne, 6, Laura Beth, 3, and Alisha Marie, 2, all of West Jordan; parents Salt Lake City; and sisters, Kristine Lambert, Salt Lake City; and Kathie Haroldsen, Orem, Utah.

Kent had a quick sense of humor. He enjoyed tennis, skiing and basketball but those things always trailed far behind his love and devotion to his family. He loved to spend time teaching and playing with his three little girls. Daddy taught his girls to play the piano, tie shoes, play games and count bugs. Kent understood his purpose in this life and worked diligently to accomplish the things he knew were important. His love for life enabled him to fight hard to the end.

Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, May 31, 1990 at 12 Noon in the L.D.S. stake center at 8950 So. 1300 W. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.

Note from her mother in a recent email: "I am sorry I don’t have very many pictures of Fern, she was a very special young lady and we still miss her. I am so honored to have you have her presented in at slideshow. She loved school more then life, hated people who skipped classes, because it was so hard for her to get there. Soon after she had that picture [the one shown her] was taken, she went blind and never wanted pictures taken. She loved all her classmates talked about you all the time."

Fern Barbara Loock, 21, died May 21, 1981 in a Bismarck hospital.

Born January 6, 1960 in Elgin, North Dakota to Rudolph August and Barbara Ann Wruck Loock. She was a member LDS church, Central Park North Ward in Salt Lake City. She attended elementary school in New Leipzig, North Dakota and Bismarck, North Dakota. She attended the Custer County High School in Miles City, Montana And graduated from Highland high school in Salt Lake City in 1978. She attended snow college, E from, Utah, and was attending the Murray Alan blind school in Salt Lake.

Survived by father Rudolph Loock Medina, North Dakota, mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar (Barbara) Aasness, Salt Lake City, Utah, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William G Wruck Bentley, North Dakota, great grandmother Mrs. Katie Wruck, New Leipzig, North Dakota, one sister, Mrs. Tim (Pamela Kay) Hall, Jamestown, North Dakota, two stepbrothers, Lyle Lee Loock and Lame (?) Robert Steven Mays, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, left this earthly life far too soon on Saturday, February 1, 2014. He leaves behind many who dearly love him and mourn his untimely passing. 

He was born July 16, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Darlene Marie Ford Mays and Daniel Straup Mays. Rob married the love of his life, Laurie Michele Bridges, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 12, 1981. They were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Erika Lynn Cardon (Kirk Marcus), Jessica Marie Wilcox (Andrew James), and Monica Michele Williams (Jonathan Frank). He would lovingly call them his "ica girls." 

Rob's career took his family from Salt Lake City, Utah to Windermere, Florida; Mesa, Arizona; back to Salt Lake City, Utah and then to Benton, Louisiana. He was determined to learn from every new opportunity, as well as let his life be an example of what his beliefs were. He had no hesitation in sharing his beliefs about God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Rob served in many positions in the LDS Church. He worked with the Scouts and youth, as well as numerous leadership positions. His final assignment was the Ward Employment Specialist. He was deeply vested in helping others find a way out of unemployment and he found great joy and purpose in doing so.

Rob was full of life and love. He loved the mountains, camping, Southern Utah, the outdoors, and traveling, especially cruises in the Caribbean. He loved airplanes and flying. One of his greatest joys in his last years was playing with his grandchildren.
Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Marie Ford Mays, his father, Daniel Straup Mays, and his father-in-law Marcell Eugene Bridges. 

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Laurie Michele Bridges Mays; his three daughters and their husbands; his seven grandchildren; his brother Kenneth Mays (Marie); sister Merlyn Mays Greenwood (Lee); six sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

He will forever be remembered for his wit and humor and was always ready to engage in a lively discussion. He would often joke with Laurie and say, "Don't ever let it be said I didn't do the least I could do." Even though our hearts are broken, we are strengthened by our Heavenly Father with the knowledge that through temple covenants we will be together again. ILYMA! 5+

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 12pm at the Cottonwood Heights Stake Center (6890 E. Whitmore Way). There will be a viewing Friday, February 14, 2014 from 5-7pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 S. Highland Dr.) as well as one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Dory J Rausher, 22, died April 11, 1983 as a result of a train – car accident.

Born August 27, 1960 in Salt Lake City to Harold and Georgi Aschenbrenner Mortensen. Married Mark Rausher, July 14, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Member of Salt Lake Christian center.

Survivors Husband, Mark; and daughter Kimberly and, parents, Harold and Georgi Mortensen, grandparents, Aage and Lois Mortensen, all Salt Lake City, Bertha Edmonds, West Virginia; sisters, Brenda Hamlan and Laurie Mortensen, both Salt Lake City.

Stephanie Lynn Rausher, eight months, died April 11, 1983. Born July 3, 1982 in Salt Lake City to Mark and Dory Mortensen Rausher.

Born June 28, 1960 in SLC, UT. Member of the LDS Church. Graduated from Highland High in 1978. A three year honor student, JR. Class Vice President, Senior Class Men's President, Varsity Football Team Captain (1978),

Rugby Team Capt. 1978, president of Jazz Ensemble (2 years). Graduated from the University of Utah in 1983 with a B.S. Degree in Psychology and Marketing, member of Sigma Delta Chi, Rugby Team Capt. 1982-1983. Nominated Utah State Employee of the year from 1985-1986.

Patricia Irene Richards Dresser, 49, unexpectedly returned to her Heavenly Father and loving parents on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, in Boerne, Kendell county, Texas, as the result of a pulmonary embolism.

Tricia was born November 18, 1959 in Salt Lake City to Albert Z. (Jr.) and Verla Ashcraft Richards and grew up in the Sugarhouse area. 

She married William Dresser on May 26, 1983. They have been residents of San Antonio/Boerne, Texas for the past 16 years. Tricia's greatest joy was her loving husband Bill and their children William, Richard, and Mary. She was an active member of the LDS Church and had a great love of her Savior. She served in Primary, Young Women, and was currently a counselor in her Relief Society Presidency.

For three years she designed and maintained 31 beautiful flower beds as the gardener for the San Antonio Temple, spending countless hours tending the Lord's gardens. Tricia loved every living thing. She was a fabulous cook, enjoyed sewing, designing and decorating her home, and was enthusiastic and committed in everything she did. 

Tricia is survived by her devoted husband Bill and their loving children: Will, Richie, Mary, brother: A.Z. Richards III (Brenda), sisters: Ruth Ellen Bean (Mike deceased), Christena Christensen (Bill), Virginia Jordan (Rocky), Suzanne Sherman (Bruce), niece: Adrienne Bean Winter, and many other nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek, with a viewing from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. Burial: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA

David Lynn Rumel, 38, passed away suddenly on July 22, 1999 of anoxic injury, hyperthermia and respiratory failure.

Born August 11, 1960 in Murray, Utah to Ronald K. and Gloria Cromar Rumel. Graduated from Highland High School 1978. He lettered as a baseball pitcher.

Served LDS mission to the Queson-Phillippines Mission. Attended the University of Utah. He will be remembered for his love for children and was fun to be around. He had a great compassion for others.

Survived by parents; two brothers: Gary L. (Marci) Rumel, Paul J. Rumel; sister: Lisa (Tim) Cretsinger; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents: Kenneth L. and Eudora Scarlet Rumel; Wayne J. and Miriam Foulger Cromar; nieces and nephews: Blake Cromar, Scott Cromar and Jamie Rumel.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 26, 1999 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive. Family and friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday and on Monday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Lorraine Dimmick 1960 ~ 2011 Lorraine Dimmick, beloved wife to Bill Dimmick, born September 26, 1960, passed away on March 5, 2011 after a long illness. Lorraine leaves behind her husband, her two children, her parents and her brother. The viewing is on March 8th at 7:00 p.m., and the Funeral is on March 9th at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held in the LDS Center Third Ward at 1955 West 4th North.

The lights in our world are so much darker today. John left us for his next adventure and we are missing our bright and loving husband, father, son and dear friend. John was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Paul B. and Jeanne Ward. His sister, Barb, and his brother, Rob, loved him so because he was always fun! From kindergarten to junior high, John attended almost every school in the Foothill area so he already had many friends when he went on to the University of Utah. There, he became a very proud member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and received his Bachelors degree. He then went on to Westminster College where he received his MBA. His experiences with Flemming Foods Co. and Health Chair Group prepared him well for his career at Harmon's Grocery, where he helped develop new stores and build the company's success. 

John's life was made complete when he married the love of his life, Jan, and had their two sons, Jordan and Riley, to join Jan's boys, Nick and Matt. Megan added a special touch to the family when she married Jordan. 

John wasted no time becoming known as "mister fix-it" to anyone around him as he was always willing to help and was always ready with a solution to any problem from anyone who needed his help. 

As a member of the Alta Club, as well as the Salt Lake Country Club, he added more good friends to his life - always adding new and never losing any friends. We miss him so, but hope the fish are biting and the tee times are open for this wonderful, special man. 

Services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple in Salt Lake City, on Thursday at 12:00 PM. A viewing will be held prior to the services at 10:00 AM. A memorial tribute will be held at the Alta Club, 100 East South Temple in Salt Lake City, on Thursday at 3:30 PM until 6:00 PM for all his many friends and family.
